Human Resources and Industrial Relations Systems and processes must be put into place to enable a smooth and issue free working environment and management and support of the labour force can oftentimes be the difference between project success or failure.
Our clients have identified the importance of integrating strong and easily understandable HR/IR procedures and as such have entrusted In2work and its affiliates with the task of sourcing 2 X IR Advisors to manage industrial strategy, relationships and union activity within the blue collar workforce of (a) City Based DTMR Project CV$350m and (b) a Large regional water project CV$700m+!
Reporting to the Corporate HR/IR Manager in both cases, responsibilities will include:
Development and implementation of the HR/IR Management plan on site then implementation
Reviewing all HR/IR aspects of project management plans
Liaising with Unions and associated stakeholders
Interpretation of EBAS and implementation on site
Compliance to employment and OHS legislation
Advising Senior Management on HR/IR issues
Managing right of entry procedures
Awareness of Subcontractor obligations under applicable industrial instruments and the conditions of the project
Performance management, training and development
Compliance to all associated industrial relations legislation
Developing a strong working relationship with all stakeholders
and other duties as required.
Requirements include Tertiary Qualifications in HR/IR, previous exposure to projects in excess of CV$100m and experience managing the union activity within a large workforce.
