Just when it seems like Civil Construction Activity is slowing down, on the horizon a slew of projects appear out of nowhere!
Just this week we have had 12 new engineering roles come across our desk and these are with a variety of Top Tier, Mid Tier contractors and Client side entities on both substantial and smaller projects, meaning you can choose to develop your technical capability on the larger projects or your project management capability on the smaller projects!
The projects are generally in and around SEQ with the odd DIDO or FIFO opportunity that requires a roster either 9/5, 10/4 or 14/7 with uplifts provided.
Roles are:
Senior Project Engineers x 3
Project Engineers x 6
Site Engineers x 8
While we are looking for Water Infrastructure and Civil Transportation Infrastructure specialists, these projects will also require a multitude of qualified and specialised Engineers to manage and control all areas of the Construction phase as site based staff. CV$70m Road Transportation – Brisbane – 6 mths duration
CV$50m Road Transportation – FIFO Nth Qld – 9 mths Duration
CV$250m Road Transportation – Gold Coast – 18 mths duration
CV$400m Road Transportation – Gold Coast – 4 years duration
CV$100m Road Transportation – Toowoomba – 2 year duration
CV$1b Water – Brisbane then FIFO Nth Qld – 4 years duration
CV$1b Rail – Brisbane then Sunshine Coast – 3 years duration
CV$75m Road Transportation – Brisbane – 2 years duration
CV$30m Road Transportation
Plus we have a few other projects in the Brisbane area working their way towards award.
Key requirements and responsibilities:
An in depth understanding of water and civil infrastructure project delivery
Supporting the production team via planning and scheduling of minor and major activities
Developing a collaborative approach to working with the client and consultants
Identification of design variations, options, risks and cost effective solutions
Contract Interpretation, tender compilation, schedule and project reporting
Providing technical direction and advice throughout the execution stage
Create and implement work packages, liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders
An understanding of design, risk management, environmental and OHS standards
Commissioning of Civil Transportation projects through to handover
Experience on major projects within the water and civil infrastructure sector Including Dams, Bridges, earthworks, structure and mine infrastructure projects
Well developed reporting and documentation skills
A best fit for these roles will be candidates tertiary qualified in an engineering field preferably Civil and have strong communication and presentation skills – a Minimum of 3-5 years experience in major projects and engineering within heavy industry on an Australian project would be highly regarded for the Engineering roles and 5-8 years experience for the Senior PE roles.
